Background

Professional Journey

Dr. Hegde has dedicated his life to the study and sharing of traditional Indian wellness knowledge. While he is a qualified Ayurveda physician in India, his international role is strictly that of a Wellness Educator.

He travels globally to conduct non-clinical workshops, share cultural insights, and demonstrate traditional lifestyle practices.

Independent Wellness Consultant — India (June 2007–Present): Private Practice of AyurMarmaYoga Wellness Care
From his base in Karnataka, Dr. Hegde maintains a dedicated practice in non-invasive neuro-wellness and stress-related imbalances, develops curricula for YogaWalk and Marma Awareness, and works to empower individuals toward self-care independence.
International Wellness Facilitator — Russian Federation (March 2009–April 2011): Center of Indian Tradition (Tsentr Indiyskoy Traditsii), Voronezh City
Working with an official work permit, Dr. Hegde introduced traditional Indian wellness culture to Eastern Europe — delivering demonstrations of non-invasive marma-awareness procedures and authentic Indian beauty and self-care education.
Resident Medical Officer (Ayurveda) — India (November 2015–April 2019)
Served at Vivekananda Memorial Hospital (SVYM), providing recuperative and rehabilitation support, while teaching Ayurveda certificate courses and mentoring international interns.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) — February 2021–May 2023
As CMO at Vivekananda Arogyadhama — a 20-bed AYUSH hospital under SnehaKunja Trust — he led frontline clinical operations during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, integrating traditional wellness with medical protocols.
A planned one-year experiential sabbatical (April 2019–March 2020), including 124 days of intensive experiential study, preceded this appointment. He extended his sabbatical by about ten months, devoting that period to full-time Antaranga Yoga practice, before returning to clinical service.
